Ayodhya - The fight over faith!

This has been the most difficult one to write. Very sensitive and very very controversial... I was honestly going to just avoid writing this post for two reasons:

a) There are a lot of facts which have been lost with time - and this is one topic on which noone should make any assumptions since they can be very misleading. Without knowing absolute truth about the matter, you cannot dare to write a conclusive and transparent post.

b) The more I researched on this, the more disappointed I was - this can be called the biggest stigma of Indian Politics. My brain actually started hurting the more I read and researched on this issue.

I feel like abusing some people, make personal comments and insulting the political and judicial paradigm of this nation which existed back in 1992, and has evidently improved now - but I will not be personal. I am writing this post being strictly an observer, a 3rd person.

I don't consider myself worthy enough to comment or conclude anything out of the available facts. So, I would simply share the knowledge in here - and I request YOU not to be judgmental. I visited more than 25 different sites and online books and video libraries to know more about the root cause and the most relevant solution to it. The only article that I found which in my opinion is the most rational is Eric Wolf's thesis on the controversy.

I have uploaded the synopsis of the same in here at the bottom. If you feel like reading it, start from page 18 and read till 31. Rest all is irrelevant (though interesting). If you are not so fond of reading, don't read it.

My solution (solely my opinion) : Construct a mosque and a temple on either side of the hill (the controversial land is on a hill - if you dint know that!) And construct a flag post on the top of the hill - hoist the National Flag on the top of it, and call it a day!

This will symbolize that First, we are one as Indians and then we are Muslims or Hindus or whatever. (Though I am against even patriotism - I support humanism! - The "One World" concept). I am quite sure neither Babar nor Lord Ram would have wanted so many people to die and kill others in their names or for their lands.

And frankly, I dont care what "they" wanted (there it goes... but I have to say this...) What I want, and I think what any common man would want is peace in his surroundings, a good system to dwell in and a democratically respectful and harmonious environment - which gives equal rights to all, without any sort of discrimination whatsoever.

I don't want to discuss who has done what harm; and I certainly don't want to play the blame game. All I say is, as a Hindu or as a Muslim - my responsibility is to create a better today and tomorrow. As a human being, I should think about a solution rather than wasting time on cribbing about the problem.

However, to find an appropriate solution, you should know the problem first. The following document strictly sticks to fact and helps us realize the problem. It also provides a hint about the solution. I think 95% of the people who read my posts wont bother reading it, and I dont blame them. In fact, I love you people... Be what you are!

If you do read it, start from page 18 and read till you get bored. Don't research any further on this issue unless you are 100% rational and 0% religious, the information available on web is extremely provocative and unnecessarily decorated.

And remember, its U and I who created the war - since its U and I who created the religion. And it will always be U and I who CAN and who WILL create PEACE!

May peace be with you! God Bless!

Fight over Faith

Note: Kindly read the following as plain and simple information with a rational outlook, this is not intended to hurt or offend anyone's thoughts, faith or opinions.
Whether we believe in God or not, we always do possess more or less information about different religions, different myths and different Gods and Faiths. Religion and politics are two most controversial, confusing and highly influencing creations of the human mind... FAITH as we know it, has been around since a long long time now. The Origin of Faith can never be sited in terms of any particular era in time, but the origin of most of the religions are known.

*** For example, it is a known fact that Christ had his last supper at a place called "the Cenacle" located on "the Mount Zion". And the day next to that, he was crucified at a place nearby called Golgotha. Now it is said that Christ was resurrected exactly after 40 days (thats when we celebrate Easter Sunday). Till crucifixion, Jesus Christ was a miraculous inspiring man with extreme courage and immense faith in his deeds. After resurrection, he became God - and Christianity was born!

***Another fact, one of the most significant events in the history of Islam is Prophet Muhammad's Night of Ascention (AD 620) - when he was miraculously transported from Mecca to the Temple Mount: al-Aqsa (the farthest mosque); and from here, as mentioned in the first verse of Surat al-Isra, he ascended to heaven to meet the previous prophets. As a matter of fact, this "Dome of the Rock" which stands over the Foundation Stone (from which Muhammed ascended to Heaven) was considered as the Quibla (the direction of prayer) for Muslims prior to Kabba in Mecca. This site today, is the third holiest site in Islam.

***One more fact, one of the most religious sites in Jewism or the Jewish history is the First Temple or the Solomon's Temple (constructed in 960 BCE). It is termed as the "Holy of Holies" or the "Hekhal". The Solomon's temple is the biggest and the most significant Synagogue (Jewish temple) amongst the other more then 1200 small Synagogues that surround it.

Now, I am not a preacher or a religious scholar, but I definitely am an information seeker and a peace lover. The reason that I am talking about these things is as follows:The Mount Zion and Golgotha; the mosque al-Aqsa and the foundation stone; and the Solomon's Temple or the Tomb of David - All of these are located in a single city called Jerusalem. In fact, all these sites are within 1 square kilometer of area (760 square meters to be exact).

Isnt it amazing??? Three of the worlds largest (see the top ten religions list link at the bottom) sort of ORIGINATED from this small piece of land during different time periods!

Imagine, a piece of land where Jesus preached his followers, where Muhammed connected with the divine heaven, where the first ever Synagogue was built, where Moses spoke with the angel of Yahweh through the burning bush (although there is no confirmed evidence about the location of Mt. Horeb). Imagine, a place so divine - a place which is the biggest symbol of unity of human kind and different religions!

But what is the current state of this place??? The status of Jerusalem right now is a matter of immense controversy within the international community. There have been so many wars fought on this land, that the land of God has now become a no man's land. It is atrocious that we as humans can fight even for out faiths. Such an irony! Faith - is to unite and not to divide! All religions preach peace and harmony - and still we create wars in the name of religions.

But I am sure, there is a way to unite. We can have a unified peaceful resolution to end this controversy, and infact every controversy that exists. God must be laughing at us from up above that we are fighting and messing up with his very own home!

Lets unite people - and make this world a better place. Lets be good human beings first, and then follow a religion or be patriotic. If you feel we as Indians have nothing to do with this, think again. Watch out for the next post - Ayodhya - The Land of Ram or Rahim???

Join the cause - a revolution starts with an idea of a single mind and support of a few or many other similar minds.

The Origin of Curse! (18+)

I saw a community against the Thackrays today on facebook - my reaction in one word: wooooooooow! So many people openly abusing on the most commonly used and the biggest social networking site! No abuse reports, nobody asking them to stop, no nothing - all in one voice: "FЧ¢k you Mr. B. T."!!! Amazing unity - can create wonders if utilized properly!

I personally dont like their ideas or executions, and I think they should be jailed. But man, what amazes me is the sheer amount of profanity...

Check out: We Hate Raj Thackeray And Bal Thackeray to see for yourself. But before that, read something extremely important:

Today's media and aam junta (the mango people :-P) have accepted Abuses and curses open-mindedly and to such an extent, that "SЊ¶t" and "FЧ¢k" are considered to be a part of general grammar now...

Considering that, we all are obliged to at least understand the meaning of these words so that we know what we mean when we say something...

Story of Origin # 1 (FЧ¢k off)

Once upon a time, the Vatican Law was the only law that existed besides the monarchy and it strongly recommended celibacy. Infact, I should say it enforced celibacy on the fellow human beings. Now, if everyone remained abstained from intercourse, then how would the generation propagate???

So, a few wise men decided that there should be some special selected "pure" people who should be allowed to Fornicate! (see the meaning if you dont understand the term...) Hence, there was a permit or a license of Fornication issued by the Monarch or the king to certain people, who possessed some intel in Carnal Knowledge (its ok - again check out the freedictionary.com) - and this license I guess would have been valid for a limited time period!

So, this guy would go and Fornicate to propagate his loins with fellow human beings of the other gender! However, if he was caught during the act, he would be immediately arrested unless he shows the permit documents. Now I am sure nobody would like to be disturbed to show some crappy permit documents while he is performing such a righteous duty! - So those guys with the permit used to stick the permit onto their doors to announce that they needed and deserved privacy.

The heading of the permit was "Fornication Under the Command of King" or "Fornication Under Carnal Knowledge". Of course, this in turn became an abbreviated word and so was "FЧ¢k" born!!!

Story of Origin # 2 (SЊ¶t Happens)

Once upon a time, in Ancient Europe, again those few wise men invented the art of irrigation. Gradually they realized that irrigation is sort of not cool without fertilizers (which are mainly excreta/fecal matter of animals). Now Europe didnot have so many cows/pigs during that era, and the small amount of excreta that was there, was consumed as fuel - which is obviously non-compromisable.

So, these wise men decided to import fertilizers! And hence, Biiiiiig Barrels filled with cow dung were imported from Asian and American countries through seaways. Now, these barrels obviously used to stink a lot and that created a huge problem for the fellow crew members of the ship in which they used to be brought to Europe. Besides, the other goods kept along with them were affected a lot by the foul smell. I mean, no Britt would've liked Indian spices if they smelled like dung!

So, An Easy solution: They started to store these barrels on the deck of the ship instead of keepin them inside with the other stuff! But again, that was a trouble for the crew members on the deck! So the Ultimate solution: They started building a high platform above the deck to store these barrels. And these barrels where stored high above the other goods and above the men for everyone's comfort and convenience.

Now to separate these barrels from the other goods, they used to mark them to identify them. "Store High In Transit" or "Store High In Tranport"... Gradually, it transformed into a short form, which became our good old friendly "SЊ¶t"!!!

So now we know how these two words - which have the greatest influence on todays lingo, were originated.

Obviously, these two stories are full of SЊ¶t and they are considered as false etymologies - but who gives a FЧ¢k about that???

If you enjoyed these tales, and have something to add to, please put down your comments and share the divine knowledge.

On a personal note, avoid politically incorrect language at home, at work and on social networking sites. Its okay otherwise {by the way, OK means O(zero) Kill... its a military term! - used to report NO CASUALTY in short on wireless communication...} Yeah, so its OKAY to be at ease and forget decency while you are chilling out with your pals.

Next Blog - Jerusalem! (No SЊ¶t - thts true!)

Dare to dream people - God Bless!

Do this - It will make a DIFFERENCE!

An amazing vision - with a feasible approach. Lets all of us be a part of this gigantic goal - the only way this large picture can be completed perfectly is if all of its small pixels are perfect!

Lets change ourselves to change our lives and our future!

Brands, Bluffs, Bargains and Big Scams!

So... You think you're cool while flashing your outfits with brands like levis, wrangler, provogue, louise phillipe, or whatever you think is awesome according to your standards or imagination. Have you ever spent more then a grand or two for your favorite denim or that super hot shirt of yours (like I have)? Well, this one is going to be a li'l disappointing for you then!

I have always believed that quality does not come cheap! - But in my little hunt for the divine truth in the last few days, I've known better. One of my friends is opening a shirt manufacturing factory back in West Bengal. He had come here, to A'bad to buy some raw material, and hence the quest began. I witnessed few of the most amazing trading secrets - which I would like to share free of cost.

I have NOT mentioned the real names of the companies, persons and places in the following description, to avoid any conflicts - however, for my near and dear friends, if you would like to verify the facts or if you are planning to start your own business in this field, let me know and I can share the sources.

So, consider a brand like Burberry (www.burberry.com) - which sells one shirt at the cost of £250 (18000 Rs.) or more, or a brand like Newport, which sells its denim jeans at $45 or more (1.5-2 grands in Indian market), and consider they are manufactured at Champaklal Mills* - located in a small town near A'bad - Gujarat. Now Champaklal is in the business of manufacturing and exporting since a long long time, has equipment worth at least 500 crores and has a production unit spread over at least 6 square kms., which is merely one of its locations out of total 9 such locations across India (contact me if you don't believe this) to manufacture denims, sarees, shirting and suiting materials, ready made garments for kids, etc. etc. all to be exported to Dubai, Japan, UK, US, etc.

So, Wrungler happens to be a huge client for Champaklal - and they have given an assignment to them to produce 500,000 (5 lac) before a mutually agreed date - lets say 30th Feb (I know, don't crib about it)! Champaklal is anyway efficient and produces 450,000 denims by 30th, but somehow is not able to deliver the rest 50,000. Now remember, they have already produced the raw material for those 50,000 - probably even cut it accordingly and have washed it (washing is what gives the 'oooh!' looks to your jeans). So they have to manufacture these 50,000 anyway, but due to their agreement with Wrungler - they can supply only 450,000 and send an invoice for the same.

However, the rest 50,000 goes into their warehouse and is called "surplus" product. This surplus keeps on accumulating in the warehouse, and after 6 months, Champaklal decides to dispose it off! So, Champaklal has an annual sale that happens right outside its premises under the name of Champaklal Co-operative Society of Mill Workers (since this all is billable) and sells all of these surplus fabric to local dealers at the rate of 10% the actual manufacturing cost. The manufacturing cost of your 1500 Rs. denim is hardly 500 Rs. for them. So, the selling price for surplus is Rs. 50!!! That's right - One Dollar! Half a Pound! -Pacchaas Rupaiya!

Next question - Who buys this? Not individuals but dealers like Mr. Chunnilal* who has a 6 by 6 feet store in Lal Darwaja and a 15 by 15 warehouse near Astodiya. So Chunni buys all these imported maal at 50 to 60 Rs. each, stores it at his warehouse, and sends samples to the local retailers like Fashion Junction* near a reputed college in the city. More then 80% of the stock is exported to Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai and other cities to similar local retailers.

The local chap would either remove the brand logo and put his own, or he may sell it off with the actual brand logo at some 800 bucks. Oh, I forgot to mention he bought this thing for about Rs. 300 per piece. So, guys like you and I finally go to this Fashion Junction and exclaim "Oh! A wrungler for just 8oo!!! Wow!" and we happily buy it and tell our friends about it!

Champaklal mill has already profited from the 450,000 that they sold to Wrungler,
Chunni has made the most out of it, despite of being a small enterprise - since he bought not just wrungler but EVERYTHING from the surplus stock - all the other brands as well!
And the retailer, Mr. Feknani also got his fair share!

In the last three days, I visited 2 such Champaklals, 1 Chunni - who by the way is an MBA from London and runs a cheap clothing shop at Lal Darwaja, and various Mr. Feknanis in my quest to get some good deals for my friend.

Trrrrrrrrrrrrrrust me, if you thinking that you will start your own business with this information and make a fortune, you are probably the millionth guy to have thought about it. Next blog would be on how Indian Factories make a fortune despite of being absolutely crapy - so check out if you interested in owning factories as well!

The Biggest Villain

According to Marvel, if all of their superheroes like Superman, Ironman, Spidey, Fantastic 4, Hulk, Heman, Robocop and all the super men and women that you can think of - fight amongst themselves, then the winner will be The Silver Surfer! Its a fact - since he can simply transform his opponents' powers into other energy forms! So noone can actually ever defeat him. Now I am not such a big fan of silver surfer - but this is what marvel has to say!

Thinking on these lines, I wonder who would be the most powerful super villain. I am not fond of any as such - most of the super villains seem queer to me - I admire Joker (Heath Ledger); he truly was evil. Also, I am keen to watch Mickey Rourke (Whiplash) in Iron Man II. However, in my opinion - the most powerful and a truly invincible bad guy would be none other then
THE PLASTIC MAN!

I wonder why none of the story writers have not yet created this fellow. I feel like copy righting this chap right now! Imagine - a man made of plastic bags!!! Funny? Not so deadly? Lets see...
Meet my friend - A plastic bag! - The one that you and I carry at least once every single day at an average.

Production cost - maximum 4 Rs. to create a decent one (like the ones you get at shoppers stop or pantaloons). Average for those which you get at regular grocery stores is less then 10 Paise! Cheap huh? Not really!

Picture this, when this guy is born - there are mainly these things produced as by products:

1. Benzene and Vinyl Chloride - known to cause cancer in human beings... easily spread through water...
2. Liquid hydrocarbons - great pollutants for soil and air
3. Plastic resins - highly flammable, have contributed to cause several accidents worldwide.
4. Ethylene oxide and xylene - extremely noxious substances; may cause birth defects, cancer, damage to nervous and immunity systems, affect blood and kidneys!

And of course, there are a host of other gases and substances which are obtained as side kicks to this Evil Dude - and so the monster is born. Now, his biggest power???
USER FRIENDLINESS!
My friend here, is the most friendly and welcoming guy ever! He has no intentions to fire bullets at people, destroy buildings or rob banks! He is here simply to destroy humanity- and that to by walking hands in hands with it with a smile on his face till the end.

How is it destroyable - NO WAY! Its true, the plastic bags that we use can NEVER be decomposed by bacteria or by dumping them in the soil. Infact, dumping them in soil or water would be like preserving them for eternity. So, you think you will burn this hunk???? Possible, and it will definitely die - but does that mean it wont harm you further? Nopes! It will be reborn in another form! If you burn the plastic man - he would release the most toxic gas known to science - DIOXIN.

So, now the super villain will exist in a gaseous form - which is even more powerful! Dioxin is mostly known for its efficiency to create mutations in human and animal genes, it is also a known teratogen - meaning it can effectively change the metaphysical or physiological development of an organism or a human being (google it know more!); and the gas plastic (Dioxin) is also a carcinogen - meaning it can cause various kinds of cancer. Not to forget the other host of poisonous gases which are produced while burning plastic, plus a hell lot of Carbon Dioxide - another super side kick determined to end the world!

Now you may feel the answer is "Recycling"???? Bingo!!!! But hang on guys - recycling plastic only means recreate the demon and make him more powerful! Recycling plastic is like recreating the entire mess that you created when you produced it in the first place! It will again create all those gases and substances one more time!

Long story short, once a plastic bag is created - it simply cannot be destroyed without potentially harming the environment. If not destroyed, these things will choke up our drainage systems or will create cadmium and lead wastes that make our waters poisonous if you have dumped them in soil. Besides, not to mention the number of aquatic animals that are dying every year due to plastic pollution (more then 100,000 each year) and the other animals that are dying or becoming ill due to plastic consumption.

If you are interested in knowing more, check out http://www.wasteplastictechnology.blogspot.com/ which is posted by experts in this field.

So, remember guys - the next Super Villain in your next favourite super hero flick could be the unbeatable - PLASTIC MAN! The only way the super hero could get rid of him would be to tie him up and send him in the space - and thats exactly what UNO is planning on right now! So watch out aliens in the space, your space ships might collide with our plastic dump parcels floating in the universe!!!

Anyway, on serious notes- I like Gandhinagar and Delhi coz the grocery store and dairy farm guys ask me to bring my own bag (although I give a nasty frown everytime they say this), and even Mumbai - where plastic water pouches are banned! But I dont really like the A'bad tradition - and I know the only and the best way to check this menace is to check ourselves.

Be innovative like the pic on the right - save the earth and be a lil out of the box as well! Be good people, go green, hate plastic and save the planet! Right now, at an average – there are 25 kg plastic bags available on planet earth per person – so figure out the total population on the planet, multiply it with 25 (to save you the pain, it would be 17,495,034,250 – close to 2000 crores) – those many kgs of indestructible waste on earth right now! And we carry a part of it in our hands with such pleasure and ease! I am quite sure the generations to come will curse us – and for a valid reason… So the next time you ask for a plastic bag from the store keeper, remember the biggest villain of humanity is thankful to you:

THE PLASTIC MAN!

God Bless!
